Taurus with Gemini

When Taurus and Gemini get together, they must both take the time to learn what the dynamics of the relationship are and how they can best get along. They both have much to offer one another and much to learn in this relationship, but it will take a bit of adjustment and effort on both sides. Gemini's Symbol is the Twins; this Sign can often be of two minds about things. If possessive Taurus is able to let go and give one Twin the relationship security and intimacy it wants while allowing the other Twin its freedom, things will go well between these two. Taurus may want too much for Gemini's taste early in the relationship, but Gemini can become dependable and steady - Taurus must simply be patient. Out in the real world, next door neighbours often don't fully understand each other's needs, then again maybe you two could find love with the sign next to each other. Just remember that when you're involved with a Taurus, you're involved with a sensualist, a nature lover, an indulger and a money lover. When you're involved with a Gemini, you're involved with a jack-of-all-trades, a whiz-kid, a trickster and a messenger.

You may be taken by the Twin's undeniable charm, but you might also want to think twice before falling in love with a Gemini. Most Bulls are possessive by nature, and you cannot possess an airy Gemini any more than you can own the wind. This can make a good friendship, family, or business oriented relationship, but in more intimate relationships harmonious aspects between Moon and Ascendant are needed. If you can give a Taurus security, beauty, nature and pleasure you have a better chance of getting their love and affection. If you can give a Gemini good communication, social interchanges and a variety of life experience, then you have a better chance of getting their love and affection.

At heart, Gemini is more versatile, while Taurus is more down to earth. Taurus likes to touch nice things, own nice things, wear nice things, eat nice things and have nice things. For Taurus touch or the physical world is real and gives comfort. On the other hand, Gemini is essentially articulate, versatile and competent. Put another way, Gemini likes variety. Gemini is an idea person. Gemini's mind naturally likes to go from subject to subject. At times, Taurus may feel like Gemini has not one, but at least two different personality sides. Basically, Taurus needs to be assured that everything's O.K., safe and secure. Once that's taken care of Taurus is ready for gracious living. That is to say, Taurus needs some good food, antique furniture and passionate sex.

Taurus's sedate, practical approach to life differs greatly from Gemini's lighter, intellectual approach. This can be a difficult dynamic, since Gemini may see Taurus as a bit dull while Taurus may see Gemini as flighty and lacking in essence. They have much to teach one another, however: Taurus can help Gemini become more deeply involved in life; Gemini can help Taurus add variety, fun and excitement to their life. Because Gemini is of a Mutable nature, he or she won't understand your need to put down roots and general discomfort with change. As far as Gemini is concerned, being free of constraints and exploring different worlds each day is about as close as one can come to heaven. You like to know you can count on things being regular, predictable, and dependable. To Gemini, that spells boring. Of course, your rich imagination and resourcefulness makes you anything but dull, but the flighty, Mercury-influenced Twins sometimes mistake sheer variety for quality. With peace loving Venus guiding you, you may decide to be patient with Gemini and allow him or her to finally realize that you truly are a partner worth settling down for. But then again, you may decide that trying to get a Gemini to commit isn't worth the trouble.

Gemini has varied interests and likes to keep up with what's going on in the world. On the other hand, Gemini can get bored easily and do not like things to drag along. Gemini needs open lines of communication. The best friends for Gemini are the ones who appreciate Gemini's sense of humour. Gemini is Air Sign, and as a down-to-Earth Sign you may have trouble relating to your Gemini friend's less practical nature. It is important to try to understand your innate temperamental differences. If Gemini can respect your need for security and you can respect Gemini's need for variety and change, you may be able to make a go of it. However, don't expect it to be easy.
It is important that Taurus acquire some mastery over the physical, practical and earthly world. Then, ironically, Taurus must learn to let go. Taurus will only find security by acquiring a sense of self that is separate from possessions. Actually, it's not so much about what you possess Taurus, but about not being in survival jeopardy.

Taurus is ruled by the Planet Venus (Love) and Gemini is ruled by the Planet Mercury (Communication). Since both of these Planets are close to the Sun, they're always in the same neighbourhood even though they're very different. Venus is all about physical pleasures, romance and sensuality. Mercury has both masculine and feminine energy, and Gemini takes on whichever energy best serves at any given moment. Taurus is just looking for a dependable, sensual partner, so Gemini's brilliance may be lost on the Bull. This may be trouble, since Gemini’s often feel like their quick wits are the most important thing about themselves. The good thing is. Gemini is smart enough to learn to be the romantic, sensual partner that Taurus craves. This combination is not the easiest for close, personal relationships but can work well when harmonious aspects between personal planets and Ascendant exist. You can learn a thing or two from each other, but it will require patience and understanding on both parts!
